A critical essay makes observations on a particular topic you have chosen which could be negative. This does not mean it cannot have a positive approach to make readers agree to your point of view. Any subject can be studied with a neutral approach. This approach tinged with critical appreciation or criticism can make interesting reading. The idea is to present it as one who has just academic interest in the subject. This would set your essay on the right approach. There are several other factors.

.0  You are analyzing either a book or article and presenting your view point. To be totally involved in this perspective, you have to be well versed with the book. If you have taken up an article, you ought to have studied the context and used relevant research. You have to read about the author’s point of view, assess it for authenticity in terms of research, and evaluate it according to your own knowledge of the subject. Once you introduce your thesis statement in the introduction you check for reference to support a point of view or oppose it. A citation that supports your point of view should be introduced at this stage. Verify the reference and ensure it leads to the original source. How to write a critical essay is not that difficult if you follow the basic pattern of all written essays, i.e., after the introduction, follow it up with a body of three to four paragraphs, and end with a conclusion.

.0  List out all the different points to support your argument. Back them up with well researched information with citations from relevant sources. This forms the essence of your critical essay. Your control of language will come useful here. Just correct information placed at different parts of the essay will not be sufficient to interest a reader. You have to connect with grammatically correct and slick writing skills. This is really not that difficult. It comes with practice. As you write the essay, you will notice logic and flow coming into your writing. With more practice, you would be very comfortable writing with conviction and control.

.0  A dissertation guide could be used to write custom essays. If it tends to be critical, it would also be informative. The book or article is under scrutiny, and this sort of paper tends to provide sufficient reading material to be appreciated. The author is not to be made the center of focus but the work at hand. Everything you are critical about has to be backed by solid evidence and related citations by other critics. A good way to analyze your topic would be to take up one sub issue at a time and justify the statement that presents it.

.0  You are literally educating your reader by presenting information which explains in detail about what could be a small topic. This could be an education essay for that matter. As you progress and reach the conclusion, you reach a stage where you would have been able to convince the reader about your point of view. The conclusion would take the shape of an evaluation essay, where you complete it by evaluating the thesis statement once again but conclusively. This would definitely indicate that you would have managed to retain interest and justify what you started in the introduction.

.0  Once you have completed writing the essay, look for errors in logic and style. All reference and citations should be following an established way of presentation. This would ensure that your critical essay is devoid of all errors, and you have complied with all requirements to write a great essay.
