Desperate Measures Need To Be Taken

It was decided that wealthy countries of the world would contribute 0.7% their national income as aid to the poor countries. The total estimated amount to be raised was $195 billion per year. Some have worked towards helping with more aid, while others have not yet met the target they set for themselves. Extended recession has not helped either. If the identified countries managed to collectively raise the amount, measures to tackle hunger and diseases would work.
Aid Is Getting There
Democracies are lacking behind in setting up a schedule which would enable them to reach the target of 0.7%. Countries such as Japan, USA, and Canada have not yet fulfilled their role in curbing the deadliest menace the world has ever seen. Democracy gives power to the people. It is time for them to help others who are less privileged. A poverty essay can safely predict that a few concrete steps taken towards achieving a target would go a long way in bringing poverty down to a manageable level.
