Developing Easy Essay Writing Skills
Students want to write an easy essay but dread the thought of expressing viewpoints in a structured manner. Conversational language is easy to develop and comes naturally to all of us. However, an essay is an informational piece of text that may not find an audience unless it is written in an interesting and compelling manner. Students may have to compile a biology essay among others. Unless they have an inclination of how to proceed with the essay, how to build it, and how to find content for it, they are in for a difficult exercise that may take a long time to complete. It may or may not be appreciated. A competitive essay is meant to get good scores. If it does not happen, students may not be able to understand why.
Form the Structure First
It is very easy to build an essay structure which can be used for different types of essays. An essay assignment could contain an introduction, a summary at the end, and several paragraphs in between to support the topic. Focus should be on drafting an effective essay statement that would attract readers. The rest of the essay just supports the statement without deviating from the topic. An easy essay would be able to interpret the topic is a fluid manner. It should be easily understood by a majority of the readers. An example of a good structure would be to have five paragraphs for a 500-word essay, each paragraph containing around 100 words. This is a simple solution that can be used for any type of essay.
Tap Appropriate Resources For Subject Matter
It is easier to write an essay on a topic once some information has been gathered on it. Students can be offered topics that are new. In such circumstances, primary research has to be conducted on the essay question. For example, the question could be “write a 500-word essay on a rubber manufacturing process.” The phrase “rubber manufacturing process” can be explored for further information on the topic. Search engines provide an excellent medium to conduct primary research. During the process, several websites would offer information on the different methods available. Students can select the method or sub topic they need and conduct secondary research on it. Their essay statement would revolve around the selected sub topic.
Use A Flowing Style Of Writing
A story is interesting to read and can revolve around any topic. If students are able to understand the process of writing a story, they could compile an easy essay on any topic. Let’s take the case of a 100-page geography coursework to be completed in one month. Effectively, around 3 – 4 pages would have to be written every day. This may not seem difficult, but if students just keep making notes on each page, there is a danger of them losing contact with the essay. A writer can leave a story incomplete at some point and then take off from there after some time has elapsed, only because the story is being built up. An essay should be developed in similar style.
