GCSE History Essays can be very interesting, if you have a firm grip on the subject. Besides dealing with facts and information, students need to be able to deal with the different sources of information. They may be asked essay questions of how to gather information on a particular event in history using different sources of information. This would form the difficult part for many students. They need to develop the skills to tackle this problem. The essays written should prepare them to answer questions asked in the exam. There are some key tips that can be used to succeed in compiling effective and informative history essays.

1.       The success of a custom essay on history is gauged by the level of analysis displayed by students. It is always better to offer reasons supporting the thesis statement in separate paragraphs. For example, the thesis statement might explore why Hitler did not succeed in Russia during World War II. The various reasons could be elaborated in separate paragraphs. The conclusion would then summarize and conclude if there was one key reason or all the reasons were equally important.

2.       When you use pictures and cartoons, use the description that comes underneath. That would be very useful in trying to interpret them.

3.       Time yourself to perfection. Depending on the number of words to be included in GCSE history essays, a plan has to be implemented taking care that each question is answered within the stipulated time allotted for it. Buy a cheap essay that would chart out a history plan and implement it.

4.       Another line of reason could be to try and answer the “why” for a thesis statement. The topic could be whether Hitler was truly a dictator or not. The list of reasons supporting or opposing the statement can be listed down. In the conclusion, you would have to come up with your point of view.

5.       History presents enough scope to practice writing GCSE history essays. The coursework topic could incorporate a list of features that support your point of view. These features need not be your own views but recorded facts from history. The various features would form the bulk of the essay, and the most important one would be your point of view.

6.       Research can be a bit tough at times. For example, you might have found four sources of information, two offering one version of a historical event, and the other two supporting another view. How do you analyze the answers to such essay questions? Consider all the alternatives and differences between the different viewpoints and then arrive at your own viewpoint. History supports facts, but inference can be drawn from available data to arrive at your own conclusion. The research should be exhaustive and complete.

7.       To arrive at the right data instantly, search for the exact same keywords in a search engine. For example, to look for information on “Battle of Britain” type the phrase into a search engine, and you would get enough sources offering you information on it. GCSE history essays can be written easily, if research skills are developed and a database maintained with useful information on various topics.
