An Essay On Truth Is Courage

To write an essay on truth is courage, one would have to understand the many reasons for standing by the truth in one’s life. It is never easy to live life on one’s terms. Society has fixed a pattern for people to follow. Some do while some others don’t. Those cannot follow the pattern completely run the risk of being castigated for various reasons. Truth simply means describing something as it really is. Calling a spade a spade may not work in the real world all the time, but understanding how it is to be done would prove a useful exercise. Balancing studies with extracurricular activities is an area students are familiar with. They are usually reprimanded for spending more time outside their home indulging in “fun and games.” Realization that facing the truth can help them find answers to the many queries they have about life as a student should motivate them to do so.

People swear to live by the truth. They realize how difficult it really is to be truthful all the time. An essay on truth is courage would remind students of the number of times they refused dinner for different reasons and used the routine “I am not hungry.” Repercussion acts as deterrent. People think about the consequences. They weigh the effects of indulging in both lies and truth. Those who live by the truth would be ready to face difficult circumstances. Others would try to deter them from following the path. For example, a student would hesitate to indulge in smoking, as it is proven that smoking is injurious to health. Their peers, friends, or even grownups would tell them otherwise. How would they cope up with such pressure? A happy childhood is ensured by parents. A happy home is one where parents do not smoke or could tell their children the truth about the ill effects of smoking.

Youngsters should remember that being truthful helps people develop courage. They become strong in spirit and have the courage to tell the truth, always. The fact that courageous men are bold and truthful is not a coincidence. What should motivate students is that following a path of truthfulness would help find the strength they have within them. It becomes evident to others around us. People would test this courage at different times with the help of instigation and malicious rumor. Those who come out of this predicament would have the courage to face real difficulty when they grow up.

Courage enables people to present themselves as they are. For instance, students who are slow learners may find it difficult to be shine in academics. As they progress through school and college, the courage to accept the fact that they need further education would help them overcome this deficiency. They would shine in their field of work. Such individuals remain students and are willing to learn from their mistakes. They would constantly keep upgrading and learning irrespective of facing ridicule or being given limited opportunities. An essay on truth is courage could help students learn the importance of developing courage by always telling the truth.
